Cosworth 2WD

The Sapphire Cosworth 2WD was nothing else but the sedan version of the three door RS Cosworth. This car was produced until 1990, when the 4WD Sapphire Cosworth was introduced. It was more user friendly than the whale tale Sierra, because it had revised springs, dampers, castor and rear anti-roll bar rates. It even had lower drag factor than the 3 door, a 0.33 than 0.34.

Was it fast? Of course it was. All Cosworths are fast. It had only 145mph top speed, but the 5.8sec for 0-62mph were fast enough to scare some super cars.
